Based out of Oakland California. The group was started by the rapper Del The Funky Homosapian also known for his part in the band the Gorillaz. The group is a great underground hip-hop act with catchy positive lyrics about life experiences with the addition of smooth beats and clips. The group was started in the early 90’s and has still been able to produce countless albums and tracks keeping them still alive today.

Felipe Coronel known by his stage name Immortal Technique is a rapper and political activist from Peru. He is known for racy political, economical, ethnical, and religious influential lyrics, which sometimes come out harsh and blunt full of emotion and hardship. Be weary because this is an artist not for the the immature and reigns down with a heavy theme. The group has been asked many times to sign with major labels but always turned them down to control every aspect of what they put out. Their shows are extremely raw and hard to forget about, a must see.

Sage Francis has also been around for a good amount of time and through this has been able to make a creative and influential sound for himself. This is a good set to see for straightforward underground hip-hop.

Yet another long-standing underground hip-hop artist, going back to the late 80’s. Real name Eddie Hayes has played an active roll in many other groups and musical entities which has put him on the map as a great hip-hop artist that has been for the most part and in my opinion under rated.
