Emma Janzen‘s veins run black with ink. Raised by a prolific academic writer/editor, she knew she was destined to write and edit for a living. She was originally the second half of Interlude, but has since bowed out to professionally blog about booze for Austin360.com. Don’t be fooled though, Emma does everything she can to desperately cling to music writing, jumping in with a post for Interlude whenever possible. She likes to drink and dance hard at live music shows (sometimes to the detriment of those around her.)
What to expect: Healthy doses of electronic chick dance tunes, pop-punk, chill acoustic folk, and the occasional red herring.

Leif Janzen‘s life revolves around music. Former intern and current employee of Victory Records in Chicago, Leif has played bass guitar in a variety of bands for close to a decade, making him well-rounded and knowledgeable about both sides of the music biz.
What to expect: Hardcore, progressive, and otherwise alternative acts.

Courtney Fellion is that alternative chick in high school who made indie mix tapes of bands that broke into the mainstream 12 months after the fact. Said mix tapes often shaped the musical tastes of those around her. Currently learning her way through a masters in film at San Francisco State University, Courtney never lets good music escape her grasp.
What to expect: Indie folk, hipster bands, dark western, foreign gems.

Scott Jackson — Although his day job is in the film industry in Los Angeles, Scott Jackson has a hidden encyclopedia-like arsenal of music knowledge. His vocabulary and sense of snark provide for an entertaining read and showcase his unique perspective. He’s also like a moth to the flame when it comes to live music, making him an expert in the nuances between live music and studio production. You can also catch him at Parentheticals.
What to expect: Hip-hop, old-school emo rock, breaking indie rock before it breaks.
